Client Data & Compliance Notice

Journey.tax, operated by Secord Fintech Inc., provides tools that help firms collect, store, transmit, and manage client data, including features designed to facilitate compliance, such as consent capture, audit trails, and configurable consent-form templates.

These tools are provided for the firm's convenience and do not constitute legal or tax advice. Each firm is solely responsible, as the tax return preparer, for:

• obtaining all client consents required by law, including under IRC § 7216;
• determining the adequacy of any template or workflow for its situation; and
• having its own counsel review and approve consent language and procedures before use.

Journey.tax does not obtain client consent on behalf of firms, does not provide tax or legal advice, and does not assume the firm's regulatory compliance obligations. Firms are strongly advised to implement documented consent procedures within their workflows, which the Service is designed to support.
